  • What would you say if we told you that 1 in 3 deaths in Gwent between 2018–2022 happened prematurely? Right now, in Gwent, people are dying years younger than they should - and this is not ok. Everyone in Gwent should have the chance to live a long, happy life and enjoy good health. The good news is there’s a lot we can do about this - together. To help us drive change, our new report ‘We are Gwent: Working together to help people live healthier, fairer, safer and stronger lives’ will highlight some of the biggest causes of premature death, which things lead to those causes and how we can prevent them.
