National Highways has extended and broadened its partnership with BAE Systems Digital Intelligence allocating up to £20million to develop a resilient cyber-first approach to all major projects and programmes across the UK’s road network. The contract builds on a relationship that has spanned two decades, with BAE Systems already providing cyber consultancy and assurance for National Highways’ digital services team. As part of the proposal, we will leverage expertise from across industry, collaborating with AtkinsRéalis Capgemini and PA Consulting to deliver advanced cyber services. UK in Malaysia supported BAE Systems Digital Intelligence to deliver an event for undergraduate students in Malaysia, focusing on how they could apply their skills to careers in AI, infrastructure engineering and cyber security. 72 students from 11 Malaysian universities attended, travelling from as far as Kelantan. Acting Deputy High Commissioner Tom Shepherd explained the UK’s global initiatives on cyber and tech, alongside distinguished speakers and guest from BAE Systems and the Government of Malaysia. All the best to the participants in their future careers!
