Layers Studio specialises in designing and developing web 🌐, software, and apps, offering a complete suite of digital solutions, including branding, marketing or discovery workshops. Their journey with us began in early 2022, and they've since become an integral part of our community. When we asked the Layers team what they love most about being in the Baltic Quarter, they highlighted the strong sense of community, the variety of breakout spaces, the accessibility of the buildings, and the opportunity to enjoy walks in the beautiful surrounding area 🌳 Layers Studio also praised our event spaces, which they frequently use for DesignTalks events. ✨ Company Spotlight Quantify R&D ✨ The photograph above is Simon Briton speaking at accountex conference. Over recent years Simon has established himself as the leading expert in R&D tax claims and has moved Quantify into providing practice development through training and software for accountants across the UK. Looking to the future- Quantify are currently developing 2 new software systems and are looking to further expand and amplify their reach. One of these new software systems will have more of a training focus and will help quantify to expand their reach to more customers. #quantify #accounting #accountingspecialist #companyspotlight

Quantify R&D are currently based at our Proto building on the Baltic quarter. Quantify director Simon Briton had been to a few networking events at the northern design center in past years and clearly the Baltic quarter had made an impression on him as he decided to move Quantify here in spring 2023. When speaking with Simon he mentioned that he loves the networking opportunities on the quarter and really values working in an area with so many friendly and innovative businesses. ✨Company Spotlight ✨ Quantify R&D.tax Quantify director Simon Briton also works with Grace House, a disabled children's charity in Sunderland. He has helped them to create connections with other businesses and gets involved in helping run events. Pictured below is the VR room at Grace House, this was only possible because Simon and members of Design Network North worked together to create an innovative immersive experience facility for the members of Grace House, which was funded by Thrift Energy Ltd , another Gateshead business. Simon has recently been nominated for an entrepreneurs' forum Impact award for his work with Grace House.
