Barnet Homes was created by Barnet Council to manage and modernise its council homes and estates. It is a non-profit making company owned by Barnet Council. We have responsibility for managing the 15,000 council homes in Barnet, including 3,900 leasehold properties. Our work includes day-to-day maintenance, repairs, and supporting tenants. Barnet Homes successfully brought all council properties up to the government's Decent Homes standard by 2012 and have embarked on further improvements to homes in the borough. We’re pleased to announce that we have reached the highest point of construction at Fosters Estate, delivered in joint venture partnership with Barnet Homes Ltd and Sage Homes 🎉 This milestone marks significant progress in our commitment to delivering 217 new homes that will enhance the community. The development includes a state-of-the-art extra-care facility with 75 homes, providing independent living for older residents. The remaining 142 homes are spread across five residential blocks, making the best use of the estate's existing spaces. Designed in collaboration with residents, neighbours and local community organisations, the project will rejuvenate the entire area with improved external building appearances, enhanced landscaping, new pedestrian and cycle paths, and rationalised roads.
