About us
We are an independent design studio creating purposeful, emotion-driven work for innovative clients. We care about space – its impact on the people that use it, the quality of it, the ambition of it and the life of it. People’s wellbeing and happiness is important to us. We use evocative design to create transformative and inspiring spaces that celebrate connection and enhance the everyday lives of those that use them. We work across the UK and internationally for private clients, developers, agents and investors. Our clients are our co-creators and collaborators. There’s no cookie-cutter approach – our clients’ goals are our priority, not the imposition of any kind of look or style. Everything we do is specific, purposeful and full of meaning. We like to ask questions and listen carefully because only a deep understanding of our clients’ ambitions will lead to a successful project. We want to begin the journey as early on in the process as possible so we can identify opportunities, maximise value and help to define the vision. We’re always up for a challenge and never shy away from complexity. We believe that an inspiring and satisfying journey gets our clients, and us, to where we want to be. You could say we’ve got high standards and we're sticklers for the detail, but we never lose sight of the big picture. We believe in investing in quality over quantity and doing something right, the first time. Our approach is rich with creativity and craft but it’s effective and efficient too. Our robust systems and processes mean we don't waste time, money or resources. We are constantly strengthening our capabilities and always on the hunt for the latest insights, technologies and materials that will help make us, and our projects, look and perform even better. We care about the world we live in and we are sustainable in all the ways we should be. we design spaces that are attractive, desirable and promote wellbeing – spaces that withstand trends and endure.

Basha-Franklin's Founder and CEO, Rachel Basha-Franklin and Creative Director, Nicola Osborn attended the inaugural Workspace_Meets Mykonos 2024 event last week. It was a stacked schedule of high value keynote speakers and brand connections. Above all connecting with an incredible group of international peers and industry friends made the event extra special. A memorable experience in a stunning location is a welcome disrupter to our typical yearly events calendar. Thank you for your thoughtful and top quality hospitality Luke Collings, Petra Kluk, Veerle de Muijnck and Workspace_Meets Valuable Keynotes Dr Shelley James - The Light Lady is an international expert on light and well-being – “The Ancient art of light for health and wellbeing” – How can we harness the power of light to have a positive impact on our health, our interactions and the health of the spaces we create. This was very enlightening! Rikke Gertsen, Art Director and Producer for Sony Design – Introduced Sony’s design philosophy and their “Create More Fun” initiative. How adding more fun and playfulness within the design process and solution sparks creativity and the ‘what if’ mind-set, crucial to design progress and what design can do! Caterina Moruzzi, Chancellor Fellow in Design Informatics at the School of Design at the University of Edinburgh – “Shaping a Responsible Future in use of Generative AI in the creative sector. Delivered a valuable insight and perspective to AI” – probably the most intelligent, pragmatic and practical we have been presented to date! Fokke Moerel Partner at MVRDV and one of the first Architects to join the company – “Sustainable Sweet Spots”. Each project asks for a specific sustainable ‘sweet spot’. Simplify the approach, sustainability is complex identify the strongest aspect[s] for each project situation to deliver the best solution. To end a fantastic line up over 2 days The AECOM EMEA design strategy team delivered “The Alpha Factor: Shaping the future” an interactive, engaging and insightful dive into Gen Alpha and how this generation will be the first truly native technological generation. What will they bring to the workplace stage…. In just a short 6 years time they will disrupt and perhaps be a catalyst for real change ! 2TEC2, ACTIU, Andreu World, Bolon, The Consquare, Deltalight, Desalto, ECOcero, Ege Carpets, Extremis, Fogia, GANDIA BLASCO GROUP, IMPACT ACOUSTIC®, iSiMAR, Kettal, LedsC4, Louis De Poortere, Lodes, nanimarquina, OJMAR - Intelligent Locking Systems, QbiQ Wall Systems, Secto Design, Skyfold Inc., Technogym, SOFACOMPANY The Partition, Tuuci #WorkSpaceMeets #ThankYou #LaunchPartners #Mykonos2024 #NetworkingInParadise #CollaborationInAction
