These tiny powerhouses play a crucial role in maintaining immune balance and preventing #AutoimmuneDiseases. 🌍 Prof. Shimon Sakaguchi is an immunologist and a Distinguished Professor at Osaka University, with an impressive journey spanning across continents and prestigious institutions. From his MD and PhD at Kyoto University to his postdoctoral adventures at The Johns Hopkins University and Stanford University to continuing his immunology research at Scripps Research and RIKEN, Prof. Sakaguchi's dedication to understanding the immune system knows no bounds. 🚀 His seminal 1995 paper revolutionised our understanding of immunology, paving the way for countless advancements in medicine.
