From April 2019, BCP Council is responsible for all local government services in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole.
About us
From 1 April 2019, BCP Council is responsible for all local government services in Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole. We provide services to around 400,000 residents from Hamworthy and Broadstone in the west to Highcliffe in the east - the twelfth largest resident population of any council in England. This scale means a higher percentage of our budget can be spent on frontline services, and less on management overheads and back-office support. As a new, large council, only created in April 2019, we have an opportunity to think as one area for business, growth, and the prosperity of all who live here. Our scale means we can more easily plan for, bid for and win extra funding for things that are important to the people who live and work in BCP, such as housing, roads and schools. We’re going through a period of great change – reviewing how we deliver services and how we make sure this fantastic area of Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole continues to thrive.

🤗It's National Care Leavers Week! There's lots going at the 333 Hub all week for young people leaving care or who have left care. Today, care leavers dropped in for cake 🍰 and also met Citizen's Advice, Job Centre and South West Water. This year’s national campaign theme, ‘All of Us, We are One’, emphasises unity, inclusivity and our collective responsibility to support care leavers as they transition to adulthood. #CareLeaversWeek

Stay #ScamAware 🔍 Did you know scammers can place fake QR codes in car parks? 🚗 This can lead drivers to unknowingly share their personal and financial information on scam websites. Keep your private information, private: ✔️ Check if the QR code is in an unusual place or printed in good quality - often it can be a sticker above another QR code. ✔️ Ensure you’re using a legitimate website - look at the URL and see if it matches the name of the parking facility ✔️ See if the car park has an official app or website so you can pay in alternative ways Stay scam aware when parking ⤵️ https://lnkd.in/eYHT7fPb
