Bloomsbury Football wants to provide every young person in London with access to the positive benefits of playing regular football. But the reality is that girls do not have equal access. That’s why last night, we presented our new Girls Strategy. It details how we will champion every young woman in London to play football safely, regardless of skill or ability to pay. At the core is our ambitious pledge: to have a 50/50 split of girls and boys by 2028. That means engaging 10,000 young women weekly across London through our programmes. Our enormous thanks are extended to all in attendance, but particularly the panellists and moderators who joined us at the event: ⚽ Understanding the barriers to participation, led by Sirayah Shiraz CCBI: Anouk Denton, Khalida Popal, Ryhanna Parara & Tanya Martin. ⚽ How brands can champion women's and girls football, led by Esme Scantlebury: Shamima Begum, Morgan Brennan, Deena Greaves & Ellie Cross. Thanks also to Gate One for hosting the event. We can’t wait to get more girls on the pitch. 💥 #womeninsport #girlsfootball #football #charity #impact #london 📸: Stacey Osborne Want to help Bloomsbury Football achieve its Girls Strategy? Playing with all girls, they all encourage you because they might have gone through the same thing" - Muzique ⚽ Giving young women their own dedicated space to play football helps develop not only technical skills, but a lifelong love for the game. The annual Academy trip to St. George's Park is a staple in the Bloomsbury Football calendar. For the fourth consecutive year, our Academy players and coaches travelled to the HQ of English Football for pre-season training. 120 young Londoners got to experience world class pitches and rehab facilities through the weekend-long trip, accompanied by our amazing staff. At Bloomsbury Football, we’re all about creating life-changing opportunities through the power of football. And what’s more inspiring than training on the same facilities as your heroes! Hear from the players and coaches why this year’s trip was so special👇 #charity #sport #impact #london #football

PARALYMPIC HOMECOMING! 🥇 The Bloomsbury Football team were thrilled to welcome home the ParalympicsGB Team from Paris 2024 after a record-breaking Games! Ameen, who is part of our Blind and Visually Impaired Football programme, was one lucky player that got to meet GB's medalists at the official homecoming event on Monday. He tried a number of Paralympic sports alongside the returning athletes and got to meet Taekwondo stars Amy Truesdale and Matt Bush, who both won Gold. Ameen and his parents particularly enjoyed talking to Javelin champion Dan Pembroke. Dan also has a visual impairment, and generously shared personal stories of overcoming access barriers which resonated with Ameen. The ParalympicsGB Team have continually inspired throughout the Games, and have finished the fantastic Summer of Sport strong. We're proud to be turning inspiration into action by providing access to football for young Londoners - including providing specialised sessions to those with additional support needs. #paralympics #paris2024 #london #accessibility #sport #charity
