ADNOC prints USD4bn multi-tranche deal after postponement ADNOC Murban (Aa2/AA/AA) made its primary market debut this week (Wednesday 4th September), selling a long anticipated USD4bn multi-tranche deal. ADNOC Murban had previously planned to issue back in 2022 however, that deal was curtailed by the impending war in Ukraine and the subsequent turmoil in the bond markets. Since that time, rates and the cost of borrowing have risen sharply. EMRD Asia Monthly Wrap August 2024 Asian primary market volumes remained strong through August as Chinese issuance in particular showed no let up taking advantage of a very conducive market backdrop. August deal volume came in at USD19.17bn, only slightly behind the USD21.29bn seen in July and almost double the USD11.67bn seen in August 2023. For Global EM, issuance in August reached USD30.93bn, the lowest total for any month this year. It compares to an average of USD19.18bn over the previous five Augusts.
