Management Consultants, try one of these moves before your next meeting or interview: Even if you need to nip into the bathroom to do it... It will give you such massive confidence and authority. There are studies to back it up.   The Wonder Woman or Superman Pose: Stand tall, feet hip-width apart. Place your hands on your hips and expand your chest. Imagine you’re a superhero about to conquer any challenge.   The Mountain Pose: Stand tall. Keep your feet hip-width apart. Place your hands by your sides, palms forward. Roll your shoulders back. Confidently engage all your muscles for 15-30 seconds, and then release them and relax.   Starfish Pose: Stand tall, feet hip-width apart. Raise your arms, palms facing forward.   Do you have any go-to moves for instant confidence?

Your opinion please - both clients and candidates! How frequently do you think a Recruiter(agency) should be in touch with the candidate after a successful permanent placement has started with their new employer?

  • What do you do to be ‘convivial’?

On Monday evening a very good friend invited me to join her and others at the pop up Sabrina Ghayour SupperClub which was taking place at Fortnums. It was a fabulous evening (you don’t have to choose a course …all the delicious food on the menu below was included!). Sabrina takes time to talk to everyone and is an absolute joy. As I work for myself (mainly from home) the chance to come into London, meet new people all with the love of great food is so good for the soul . One of my friends was asked by Fortnums to describe the evening. She came back with the word ‘convivial’ - which was so true. What do you do to be convivial??? Especially if you work for yourself from home like me.. BTW check out the Sabrina Ghayour Supper Club - you will love it (she changes the menu and there’s something for everyone). I see in March she is up north at Castle Howard, back at Fortnums in London and in the future, amongst other, she will be holding one at Chewton Glen. Enjoy!
