Perhaps once viewed as the "departure lounge" of Hertfordshire, Hemel Hempstead has experienced a significant exodus of companies in recent years. However, signs of revitalisation within the town centre should make you rethink your opinion of Hemel Hempstead, according to Felix Sharman MRICS, Associate in our Kings Langley Head Office. #BrasierFreeth #CommercialRealEstate #LeaseAdvisory #MarketIntelligence #shoppingcentres

It’s that time of year…APC results week! And we are very pleased to share the news that Ben Ross MRICS (pictured in the centre) passed and is now an RICS Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer. Ben joined us almost exactly 2 years ago to the day, and in this time has been on rotation across bf’s departments. He will now be based in our valuation and lease advisory team. For any grads at the start of their APC journey Ben kindly shared these tips: ☑️ Keep your case study nice and simple. There’s no need to over complicate things that may trip you up later on in the assessment. ☑️ Stay organised from the beginning. Keep your diary and CPD record up to date and structure your revision with a timetable. ☑️ Use the people around you as much as you can. I found the best way of preparing for my final assessment was by running through countless Q&A sessions with colleagues and other APC candidates.

At Brasier Freeth, we are committed to supporting young professionals. Each year, we take on graduates and undergraduates across various disciplines. We are thrilled to introduce a new grad to the bf offices — Daniel Levitan is starting in the Valuation team and told us a bit more about himself. ❓What made you want to work in property? I first became interested in a career in property when I studied a business course at school. I enjoyed the modules relating to property and decided to pursue this interest with my degree at university (Real estate). My course confirmed my passion for real estate, and I realised that being a surveyor would be a good career choice for me. ❓What aspect of property are you most excited to learn about? I am looking forward to working in an agency and understanding the process of buying, selling, and leasing properties. ❓What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given? Treat others as you want to be treated. #BrasierFreeth #CommercialRealEstate #RealEstateExperts

As the most active agent in Hertfordshire since 2008, Brasier Freeth takes immense pride in promoting its appeal. Hertfordshire is typically known for its historic estates, countryside, and commuter towns, located within a short train ride to Central London. But from The Making of Harry Potter to the highest-grossing movie of 2023 (Barbie), Lewis Hamilton, George Ezra, and THAT Troy Deeney moment, the world has been able to share in Hertfordshire’s ‘blue sky’ thinking. Tim Howlings writes all about why Hertfordshire is thriving. #BrasierFreeth #Hertfordshire #RealEstate

At Brasier Freeth, we are committed to supporting young professionals, and each year, we take on graduates and undergraduates across various disciplines. We are thrilled to introduce a new grad to the bf offices - Issy Wash is starting in the Retail & Leisure Agency team and told us a bit more about herself. ❓What made you want to work in property? I love that in property, no two days are the same, you get to stay up to date on the environment around you, and you get to be involved with the changes happening around you. ❓What aspect of property are you most excited to learn about? I have loved doing retail as I love shopping so it’s interesting to learn about how each shop comes to be. So, I am excited to learn more about retail, and I am especially excited to start working on shopping centres. ❓ What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given? Before every test or exam, my parents would say ‘read the question’, meaning read, then re-read the question, because so many times you will make assumptions about what is being asked of you, whereas taking a moment to confirm exactly what is being asked allows you to focus, clear your mind and prevents mistakes. #BrasierFreeth #CommercialRealEstate #RealEstateExperts
