We loved supporting the Lucy & Yak 'Comfort Store' pop up at housing and homelessness charity Shelter, Coal Drops Yard. We provided hot & iced tea to team members, influencers & guests who stopped by to celebrate the opening. Great news: the London Living Wage has increased to £13.85. At Bird & Blend Tea Co. B Corp at Camden Passage in Islington, I spoke to employees about how this much-needed pay rise will make a difference in their daily lives. I also had the chance to see how their speciality teas are blended for customers. Bird & Blend Tea is one of London’s 4,000 Living Wage employers who pay their hard-working employees the London Living Wage. Over 140,000 people working for businesses across London will benefit from the 5.3% increase in the London Living Wage. This increase comes at a time when many Londoners are under ongoing pressure from the cost of living crisis. My long-standing support for the @LivingWageUK’s campaign is part of our commitment to making London a fairer city for everyone.
