Buxton Community Choir is a vibrant and welcoming group of around 60 members who share a passion for singing and making music together. They are a diverse mix of individuals, from complete beginners to seasoned singers, united by a love of music and a sense of community. At Buxton Lime, we are proud to actively support our town and were delighted to assist the choir in their recent fundraising efforts to purchase much-needed staging. As a company with deep local roots, we believe in giving back to the people and groups that make our community stronger. With a growing membership, the choir needed proper staging to ensure all members could be seen and heard during performances. By helping them achieve this, we’ve contributed to enhancing their visibility, improving sound projection, and elevating the overall quality of their performances. More than just a choir, they bring joy to the local area and raise substantial funds for charities through their concerts. Supporting initiatives like these is part of our ongoing commitment to making a positive difference in the community. Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, as our Mechanical Craftsperson will be responsible for carrying out scheduled, planned and reactive mechanical maintenance activities to maintain plant condition and performance to support the delivery of the weekly maintenance schedule. We are currently looking for a Engineering Inspections Coordinator to join our Engineering Team. This role is easily commutable from Buxton, Sheffield, Stockport, Chesterfield, Macclesfield, Mansfield and the surrounding areas. Buxton Lime, the largest Lime producer in the UK, is widely known for the lime it supplies for use in many different critical industries including the treatment of drinking water, essential in keeping people healthy. Its innovative product, Kalic HS, which comes in a liquid form is the ultimate alkali treatment in drinking water, and also used for the safe and effective treatment of effluent and waste water systems.

Buxton Lime held one of it's annual 'Safety Days' at the Hindlow site involving around 40 employees. The day was a great opportunity to meet colleagues from around the business and participate in interactive workshops covering important health, safety and environmental topics.
