Madalina presented our collaborative work with GIZ Jordan on a follow-up Green Jobs Assessment, building on the initial report published last summer, which examined the status of green jobs in Jordan and provided key policy recommendations to support the transition to a green economy. Last month, I was honoured to be invited by the International Labour Organisation to participate in a kick-off workshop focusing on social protection, climate change, and a just transition to a sustainable economy in Jordan. I presented the work that Robin Lechtenfeld and I do with GIZ Jordan (Jennifer Welp and Alexander Monden) on a follow-up Green Jobs Assessment, building on the initial assessment published in June 2023 on the status of green jobs in six sector and providing policy recommendations to enhance the transition to green jobs in Jordan - https://lnkd.in/egfG62ay The insights from this workshop will guide priority actions to enhance Jordan’s social protection system for a just transition.
