About the Role: This is a business-critical role partnering at Executive level to design and implement a strategic people plan for our Retail and Supply Chain functions. This role operates on smart working principles, combining 1-2 days a week at our Wakefield Support Centre with remote working. You will: - Lead a team of three HR Business Partners, enabling collaboration and consistency. - Embed talent management initiatives, driving performance and succession planning. - Shape scalable organisational structures aligned with future business goals. - Support leaders in improving colleague engagement and driving cultural change. - Provide insights through people metrics and collaborate with the wider People team to deliver tailored solutions. Last weekend was an incredible weekend! 💚 Thanks to our amazing customers and fantastic colleagues, we’re thrilled to announce that we raised an astonishing £76,042.98 during our in-store Macmillan raffle! 🙌 Our teams went all out with fancy dress and decorated stores in Macmillan’s iconic green, creating a fun and festive atmosphere. We couldn’t have done it without your support! Every raffle ticket sold helps Macmillan Cancer Support continue their vital work, ensuring no one faces cancer alone. Thank you for helping us make a real difference together.

At cardfactory, we believe in giving back to the community, and our People team recently took this to heart during their team day on 11th September 💚 They spent the afternoon assembling care packages for Macmillan Cancer Support and writing heartfelt messages to those in need of extra support. Reflecting on the experience, Gemma from the People team shared: "We had a great time and had loads of donations, so we created some great care packages. All were dropped off at our local Pinderfields hospital the same afternoon". The event also featured an inspiring talk from Sarah, a member of the Macmillan team, who highlighted the positive impact that these donations have on the community—encouraging us to continue making a difference where we can. A big thank you to everyone involved for their time, energy, and generosity in helping make this event a success! 🌟

Yesterday, we kicked off our festive season in celebratory style with our Golden Quarter Conference 🎄 Our retail colleagues came together from all corners of the UK and the Republic of Ireland to learn about our plans to help our customers 'Spread More Cheer' this Christmas season. Celebrating successes from last year and building on our learnings, we focused on how we put the celebration needs of our customers at the heart of everything we do, as well as prioritising wellbeing throughout the busy festive period. We had a fabulous showcase of our new ranges across cards, gifts, and celebration essentials. We ended the day with a service and leadership masterclass, hearing from many of our brilliant colleagues who shared their experiences and top tips on delivering excellent customer service and operational excellence, ensuring we help our customers 'Spread More Cheer' this Christmas. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect, collaborate, and celebrate our amazing colleagues, with a sprinkling of cardfactory festive spirit and fun!

We’ve won! 🏆 We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve taken home the RADAR award at the prestigious Licensing Awards 2024! This accolade recognises our exceptional efforts in expanding our licensed product range from June 2023 to May 2024, an offering that we continue to develop for our customers.   Held at London’s iconic Grosvenor House Hotel, the event brought together over 1,200 industry leaders, and we couldn’t be prouder to have our hard work acknowledged. It’s our first win at the Licensing Awards, making this achievement even more special for us!   A big thank you to the commercial team for representing us on the night and proudly accepting the award on behalf of everyone at cardfactory.

What an Achievement! 🥳 A huge congratulations to a few of our amazing Studio team members – Lyndsey, Peter, Julie, Clare W, Abby, Foley, Abigail, Matt, Joel, Karl, Alison, Miriam, Lily, and Lynds – for successfully conquering the summit of Snowdon! They enjoyed a fantastic weekend in Llanberis, and we’re proud to share that everyone in the group completed the climb. At the summit, they celebrated with drinks at the visitor centre, with Prosecco and beer kindly provided by Julie and Peter – a big thank you to both! After a day of adventure, the group gathered for a well-deserved meal and a few more drinks to celebrate their achievement. It was a brilliant opportunity for team building and bonding, and they are all incredibly proud of each other. In the spirit of ‘Giving Something Back,’ several team members sought sponsorships for causes close to their hearts. A special thanks to everyone who supported them! Once the fundraising closes, they will also apply for match funding from the fantastic Card Factory Foundation. Peter, Julie, and Lynds walked in support of MindOut LGBTQ Alison walked in memory of her dad, raising funds for Stroke Association A big thank you to this dedicated group from our Studio team for an incredible weekend of teamwork, adventure, and making memories together.
