About us
Proud winners of Best Sustainable Investment Engagement Initiative (for our corporate global and UK mental health benchmarks) and Sustainable Investment Fund Management Group of the Year (AUM under £50bn) at Investment Week Sustainable Investment Awards 2023. Our purpose is to help our clients maximise their impact on society by harnessing the power of investment markets. CCLA was borne out of an aspiration to provide responsibly managed, cost-efficient investments for charities and churches across the UK. From humble beginnings, CCLA has become the largest manager of charitable assets in the UK (as reported in the Fund Management Survey 2023 published by Charity Finance). Our distinctive heritage and approach to managing investments on behalf of not-for-profit organisations led us to extend our investment capabilities to individual investors in 2022. This offering was created in response to growing demand for the kind of authentic ESG approach for which we are well-known and is an extension of our commitment to continue to support investors of all sizes. Our segregated and managed fund services and wide range of pooled funds enable us to meet the needs of organisations of all sizes. “The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little.” — FDR, Inaugural Address, January 20, 1937
It has been a delight to have our headline sponsor CCLA Investment Management here at Foundations for the Future, talking with delegates about their role in ensuring sustainable investment. 🙌 As a collaborator and partner of UKCF, we're grateful for the ongoing support provided by CCLA and their recent work with LAMIT to launch our Care Leavers Programme, supporting care leavers throughout England over the next three years. If you're with us in Harrogate this week, pop over to the CCLA stand and say hello!

'CCLA’s ‘Find it, Fix it, Prevent it’ initiative is to be highly commended. Modern slavery involves the exploitation of workers by corporations and intermediaries who abuse employment practices and vulnerable people to access cheap labour. It can appear in any supply chain without committed vigilance. Through CCLA’s initiative, signatories are provided with the education and expertise to identify and stop modern slavery within their supply chains. I have witnessed first-hand the impressive work CCLA undertakes with investee companies to eliminate the sourcing of seasonal staff from predatory recruiters, complex and unreliable visa applications, and hidden costs. While this issue is more widespread than many realise, collaboration among NGOs, charities, and investors shows potential for its eradication. Increasingly, fund gatekeepers such as us at Square Mile Research, are determining that powerful advocacy initiatives from groups like CCLA are a key consideration in deciding which fund managers we seek to build relationships with.’ Jake Moeller, Associate Director – Responsible Investment, Square Mile Investment Consulting & Research Limited Read our 2024 Find it, Fix it, Prevent it report here. https://lnkd.in/e5irB_sS

'Hats off to the Community Foundation for Merseyside, Liverpool City Council and the Lord Mayor of Liverpool, Cllr Richard Kemp CBE, for a terrific event at St George's Hall last week. So much talent, energy, good-will and optimism!' - Andrew Robinson MBE, Executive Director, CCLA.
What an incredible success at the Care Leavers Conference at #StGeorgesHall yesterday. Hosted by Liverpool City Council and the Lord Mayor of Liverpool Cllr Richard Kemp and in partnership with CCLA the event brought businesses together to explore how they can help to create a community of support for care experienced young people. Huge thanks to the amazing Mollieanne and Oumar, who did a fantastic job presenting, and to the inspiring care leavers who shared their stories. Businesses made pledges to create a supportive network for care leavers, with powerful insights from John Lewis & Partners, LFC Foundation and Everton in the Community on how employing resilient young people can help businesses thrive. Special recognition to Huw for his breath taking piano performance which received a standing ovation! Together, we’re building a stronger future for care leavers! #ImprovingLiverpool #ChildFriendlyLpool Liz Parsons | Richard Kemp | Jenny Turnross | Peter Murphy | Alison Brown | Andrew Robinson | Camilla Mankabady | Michael Doran | John Brattin

"The Find it, Fix it, Prevent it initiative has set the standard for engaging companies on modern slavery and labour exploitation. As investor members we’ve used the benchmark findings to identify tangible outcomes and work with our peers to promote change at investee companies. Partnering with CCLA earlier this year to conduct a multi-stakeholder roundtable brought to life the challenges and best practices for the safeguarding of workers across the construction value chain, and we look forward to seeing the continued impact of this work.” Siobhan Archer, Global Stewardship Lead, LGT Read our 2024 Find it, Fix it, Prevent it report to see the progress investors are making to combat modern slavery in company supply chains. https://lnkd.in/e5irB_sS #goodinvestment #betterwork #endmodernslavery #antislavery
