Another step forward in the fight against fast fashion! 🧵 The 2022 EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles took a step forward by focusing on garment durability and recycled fibres. But it missed the bigger issue—overproduction. We're working with the Textiles Coalition (tagged below) to push for real change! Our priorities: - What’s in my clothes: Tackle overproduction, cut down synthetic reliance, and remove harmful - - practices. - Who made my clothes: Build transparency, protect workers, and support fair trade policies. - How my clothes are sold: End greenwashing and misleading marketing. Consumers need clear, honest info. We stand at a critical moment in the fight against fast fashion in the EU. It's time for policymakers to take action! We'll keep saying it until it's heard - #MethaneMatters! Feedback EU's new report states it loud and clearly: biomethane from manure is not a #sustainable solution ❌ Why? Because it: - Fuels livestock intensification instead of reducing it - Replaces dependence on natural gas imports with dependence on animal feed, particularly from the Global South - Contradicts #EU environmental policies - Benefits big corporations at the expense of small farms We call on the EU to immediately stop the expansion of factory farms ✋ Learn more: https://lnkd.in/dgWe827x

The influence of Big Meat & Dairy companies on EU policy is alarming. While farmers grapple with extreme weather, these huge corporations prioritise profit over our planet, lobbying to derail crucial climate action. Animal agriculture is responsible for over 50% of methane emissions in the #EU. That's why we're calling on the European Parliament and the new European Commission to take urgent action to transform the food system and prioritise #sustainable practices and a reduction in livestock numbers. We're working with WeMove Europe to campaign for change for a healthier population and planet. It's time to hold these corporations to account. Join us in demanding a sustainable and ethical #food system from the EU. Share this video and sign the petition: https://lnkd.in/epBBErmV? #MethaneMatters

The truth about subsidies, health claims, and the hidden costs of meat and dairy is finally out. See the facts for yourself: https://lnkd.in/e8EBnyzx
