Meet the Team: stuart hesk Director of Heating
At the heart of Hewer’s heating division is Stuart Hesk, our Director of Heating and one of the five business owners. Since joining in 2018 as Domestic Services Manager, Stuart’s leadership, expertise, and drive have propelled both his career and the business forward. His impact quickly earned him promotions to Head of Domestic Heating and later Director of Heating, where he expanded his role to lead the commercial heating division, securing major contracts and strengthening Hewer’s industry position.
A True Leader in Every Sense: Stuart’s leadership is defined not by titles but by his support and empowerment of his team. He is a true leader, not just a manager. Stuart believes in giving his team the freedom to make decisions, while always being there to guide them and create a safe space for them to make mistakes and learn from them. His leadership style motivates and inspires those around him, instilling a sense of ownership and passion that drives his team to achieve more. The energy, commitment, and belief he brings to the table is refreshing, and it’s no surprise that his team aspires to follow his lead.
A Career Built on Experience & Leadership: Stuart’s 13 years of military service laid the foundation for a 15-year career in construction, including 7 years in senior contracts management. His strategic mindset and deep industry knowledge have been key to securing major commercial contracts and driving business growth. Stuart’s commitment to developing strong teams ensures that Hewer remains at the forefront of the industry.
A Key Figure in Hewer’s Evolution: Stuart played a pivotal role in the management buyout, becoming one of the five directors shaping Hewer’s future. His vision, leadership, and competitive nature continue to drive the company’s success.
Beyond the Boardroom – Work Hard, Play Hard: Stuart lives by the "work hard, play hard" mentality. Outside of work, he’s a proud dad of three, a regular on the golf course, and always up for a friendly competition. His rivalry with Simon Hewer is legendary—whether battling it out on the golf course or seeing who can throw the table favours the furthest at the Christmas party. Nicknamed "Hesky," Stuart never backs down from a challenge, and makes sure Simon doesn’t either.
