⚠️ The number of people we help with debt issues reached record levels in January this year. With debt becoming so varied and lenders having different priorities and collection practices, managing and giving advice on debt is much more complex. A large proportion of that debt is due to government debt, like benefit overpayments or advanced Universal Credit payments. A lot of this could be helped by changing policies, making it easier for people to get back on their feet.
