Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS)

There are unscrupulous businesses online, which offer the prospect of getting your CSCS card without taking tests or obtaining qualifications. These businesses are fraudulent and should be avoided. It’s what is known as Advanced Fee fraud and involves the individual being duped into believing they will receive a CSCS card when it won’t arrive. A CSCS card costs £36 and some of these businesses are charging upwards of £600. To apply for a CSCS card, individuals must complete the necessary qualifications and training before a card is issued, therefore anyone offering a card without the need to achieve a qualification will be attempting to take your money and run. These scams usually take place on social media, CSCS does not advertise on the following platforms: 📲 Facebook 📲 Instagram 📲 Tik Tok 📲 Whatsapp 📲 Telegram Should you spot one of these adverts please report it to fraud@cscs.co.uk. To avoid falling victim to these scams, always ensure that you obtain your CSCS card via the official online service: www.cscs.uk.com/apply.

Did you know - if you are applying for a CSCS card as an individual, digital cards can be downloaded using the ‘my CSCS’ app as soon as your application is approved, meaning you don’t have to wait for your card to arrive before you can get on site. There are four types of CSCS card fraud. The first kind is qualification fraud.  This is where organised criminals assist candidates to obtain a genuine qualification. While most centres delivering qualifications uphold the standards required, there are instances when a centre’s integrity becomes compromised.
