This year, we were thrilled to support national charity JustHelping with its incredible Christmas Tree-Cycle Appeal 2025. Just Helping partnered with over 70 local charities to run one of the country’s largest tree recycling initiatives. This year they raised over £1.5 million nationally and collected and chipped over 73,000 trees. Between 8-17 January, 77 volunteers from our NRNN, Transportation & Tarmac Kier Joint Venture (TKJV), and Construction teams joined forces with other organisations to collect nearly 20,500 trees. Together, we contributed to collecting £439,500 worth of trees for 18 charities across the UK, while helping to create a greener planet by recycling the trees into woodchips. Great work by Jess Dyer and Claire Dominy for organising. Here are some key achievements: • North London: £6,600 raised for North London Hospice and featured on ITV London. • Wolverhampton: £22,000 raised for Compton Care by collecting 1,200+ trees. • Ipswich: £20,000+ raised for EACH Suffolk and St Elizabeth Hospice through 1,225 trees. • Norwich: A record £23,810 raised for EACH Norfolk with 1,270 trees collected. This initiative goes beyond tree collection. It’s about our people coming together to support communities, have a positive environmental impact, and raise vital funds for local causes. Thank you to all our volunteers who braved the weather, and went above and beyond to make a difference! #joinkier #Volunteering #Sustainability #SocialImpact #CommunitySupport Towards Tomorrow Together St Margaret's Hospice Care Rotherham Hospice Arthur Rank Hospice Charity AtaLoss North London Hospice Princess Alice Hospice Shooting Star Children's Hospices Hospiscare EACH St Elizabeth Hospice CHIPS Children's Integrated Playschemes St. Michael's Hospice (North Hampshire) Hospice in the Weald Helen Rollason Cancer Charity Child Bereavement UK Compton Care

From local school student to being part of the team rebuilding it! 🏫 Inspired by her family, Rhianna Ord always knew she wanted to work in the construction industry, so when the opportunity to join Kier to support the team rebuilding the school she attended, Rhianna jumped at the opportunity. Rhianna started her journey as a T-Level student, gaining work experience on a construction site to support her in completing the required hours for her course. 🏗️ When her T-Level came to an end, the opportunity to join Kier as a trainee site manager became available, with Rhianna joining our September 2024 cohort of apprentices. Read more about Rhianna’s story and the value of T-Levels in our blog on our website. Link in the comments below! 👇 #JoinKier #Construction #Apprenticeships #TLevels

We’re thrilled to share that we’ve been appointed to Yorkshire Water’s £850m complex non-infrastructure works framework, part of their AMP8 investment programme. This is another fantastic win as we continue strengthening our water sector position. We’ll play a key role in Yorkshire Water’s largest-ever environmental initiative, with a proposed £8.2bn investment to transform water and wastewater assets across the region. This is one of our recent successes as we gear up for AMP8. We’ve also secured places on: 💧 United Utilities' Specialist Enterprise Framework 💧 Southern Water's Strategic Development Partnership Framework 💧 Wessex Water’s Capital Delivery Partner Framework 💧 Re-securing our position on Anglian Water Services’s IMRDS Alliance For Yorkshire Water, we’ll be delivering critical improvements to their networks, building on the complex non-infrastructure work we delivered in AMP7, such as: 💧 Sladen Water Treatment Works: A £16m upgrade featuring new inlet works, a refurbished Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) system, and a Magnetic Ion Exchange (MIEX®) plant. 💧 Keighley Marley Wastewater Treatment Works: A project improving phosphorus removal under the Water Industry National Environment Programme (WINEP). These wins highlight the strength of our teams and the trust our clients place in us. We’re proud to be shaping the future of the UK’s water infrastructure. We were delighted to welcome Prisons Minister, Lord Timpson, to our HMP Millsike site this week, as we approach the completion of the UK’s first all-electric prison. The new prison, which Kier is delivering on behalf of the Ministry of Justice UK, will provide almost 1,500 much-needed new prisoner places and has been built using digital construction techniques. Energy-efficient technology, such as solar panels and heat pumps, means it will use c.68% less energy than even the most recently built prison. As part of the project we have also focused on rehabilitation through our prison engagement and employment programme, Making Ground. Over the last three years, this programme has led to 75 prison leavers and 64 ROTL placements being offered roles within Kier and our supply chain. During the construction of HMP Millsike itself the programme has also provided 17 sustainable new jobs for prison leavers. We are proud to deliver projects which make a vital difference both to the UK and to individuals, and it was a pleasure to show the Minister the progress we have made at Millsike. To find out more about HMP Millsike and Making Ground please use the links in the comments below.
