Convatec Senior Medical Affairs Director Dr Ased Ali joined a broad range of speakers from both NHS and industry yesterday at the 2024 NHS LTP & ICB conference. The conference, which took place at the Royal Society of Medicine, London, was titled Building an NHS fit for the future and aimed to provide a focus on the pivotal issues concerning future NHS strategy. Speaking during the afternoon session, which explored tackling and managing chronic illnesses, long term conditions and elective recovery, Ased’s presentation was entitled ‘Waiting lists to Wellness: industry collaboration that can transform overactive bladder pathways’. The event was an opportunity to engage and learn from key NHS stakeholders about how we can better support and collaborate to improve the lives of those we touch. #WeAreConvatec #forevercaring #ForeverConvatec

This September, Convatec Continence Care has once again joined forces with The Urology Foundation to support #UrologyAwarenessMonth. Our collaboration with the Urology Foundation highlights the importance of recognising and addressing urological conditions early and aims to breakdown the stigma surrounding urological health. Whilst the Urology Foundation’s campaign emphasises men’s urology, our involvement reflects our broader commitment to raising awareness of urological conditions across all genders. The theme for the month is ‘myths and legends’, seeking to debunk widely-held myths while celebrating the legends who share their experiences and advocate for urological health. The campaign covers a range of urological issues, including bladder health, kidney stones, urological cancers, and the importance of proper hydration. It encourages everyone to take action when something doesn't feel right and to 'be a legend' by seeking medical advice. In this powerful video, we’d like to honour all the medical professionals and scientific communities working to advance urology care for their dedication and hard work. Our support for Urology Awareness Month not only elevates awareness around urology health but also aligns with our forever caring promise. By encouraging people to speak up about their health, we are promoting healthier communities and reducing the stigma associated with urological conditions. At Convatec, we are committed to deepening our relationships with clinical experts to achieve best practices and patient outcomes. We are excited to share an inside look at our educational tour in Shanghai, China where we invited leading ostomy specialists from the United States to speak with clinical experts from around the Asia Pacific region. Together, we explored and defined the latest research and clinical evidence supporting the use of moldable and soft convexity products, as well as best practices for educating patients on the proper use of these products. Day 1: On Day 1, we conducted sessions at the Shanghai Ninth People's Hospital and Shanghai Ruijin Hospital where key speakers Catherine Milne, ARNP and Karen Baggetta, RN discussed the latest U.S. clinical trends and shared case studies on moldable and convexity products. Day 2: On Day 2, we partnered with 11 international Key Opinion Leaders from the United States to the Asia Pacific region to discuss the latest International Moldable consensus, case studies, and Clinical opportunities around Convatec’s Moldable ostomy product ranges. Here’s a sneak peek featuring keynote speaker Catherine Milne, ARNP. Day 3: Our final day of our educational tour in China was sponsored by Convatec in collaboration with the Shanghai Nursing Association and hosted 140 clinicians including several leading experts in ostomy care. This exciting event delved into current convexity usage trends and the evolving convexity market landscape. Here we featured case studies covering the new convexity range, Esteem Body™ with Leak Defense™, and hosted an exciting panel discussion on the selection and appropriate application of convex products. Thank you to all our participants over this 3-day tour. Looking forward to the next educational collaboration!

This week, colleagues at our largest UK manufacturing site in Deeside, north Wales were pleased to host a visit from the local Member of Parliament, the Rt Hon Mark Tami. During his visit, Mark met colleagues and was given a demonstration of our different products and solutions in advanced wound care, as well as a tour of our facilities including our textile line and new clean room. Our CFO Jonny Mason and UK manufacturing site leader Adeel Mushtaq enjoyed hosting Mark, alongside other leaders in research and development and operations. Mark was also able to spend time with several of our apprentices and summer interns to hear more about how our teams are bringing to life our vision of pioneering trusted medical solutions to improve the lives we touch. #ForeverCaring #ForeverConvatec #WeAreConvatec #Deeside

Today, on World Humanitarian Day, we recognise the important role of humanitarian workers in delivering life-saving support and protection to those who need it most. In line with our forever caring promise, we also support humanitarian partners who serve vulnerable populations in our communities. This year we contributed to relief efforts around the catastrophic flooding in South Brazil, and the devastating earthquake in Japan. We also continued to support our charity partners working in Ukraine, with additional product donations bringing our total contribution to over $2 million. In addition, we take this moment to thank our global charity partner, Partners In Health (PIH). Through our partnership, PIH has facilitated the training and equipping of hundreds of Community Health Workers (CHW), which by extension, have touched the lives of thousands of people. #WorldHumanitarianDay #ConvateCares #PIH #WeAreConvatec #ForeverCaring #ForeverConvatec
