Are You Ready for Tachograph Retrofits?? With only 9 weeks remaining until the December 31, 2024, tachograph retrofit deadline, it’s essential for international fleets to act now. Vehicles using analogue or first-generation digital tachographs must be upgraded to Smart Tachograph 2 to stay compliant for cross-border operations, and waiting too long could lead to last-minute bottlenecks at retrofit centres. Important dates: ~ December 31, 2024: Retrofit analogue and Gen1 digital tachographs. ~ August 19, 2025: Update required for first-generation Smart Tachographs. ~ July 1, 2026: Applies to vehicles over 2.5 tonnes. We first raised these concerns back in March to make operators aware of the urgency, and you can read more of our insights in the Transport Operator article here: https://lnkd.in/diSqauT9 Our recent webinar video also builds on these updates, providing clear next steps and sharing insights from industry experts Spencer Miller Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), Laurent Duclos Stoneridge, and Andrew Wright Skillray Transport Services UK Limited to help your fleet prepare. Webinar video: https://lnkd.in/ejJdy_p4 Our team at Convey Technology is here to answer any questions you may have about the retrofit requirements. Please contact us if you need guidance on what to do next. https://lnkd.in/d6fr6Kef #Tachograph #FleetCompliance #TransportRegulations #ConveyTechnology

Driver CPC Reform Update 🚛 Earlier this year, the Government shared plans for reforms to the Driver CPC (DCPC). The new Government has now restarted the process for the legislation to be laid in Parliament, though the date for the debate is still to be confirmed. Updates will be provided on progress, including details on new National Driver CPC courses and how to access them if the reforms go ahead. Key proposed reforms: • National Driver CPC – Unified qualification for UK lorry, bus, and coach drivers. • Flexible training – Courses in 3.5-hour blocks instead of 7 hours. • E-learning flexibility – Decoupled e-learning from in-person courses. • Faster requalification – Quicker return for drivers with expired CPCs. These reforms are under review, with implementation expected in late 2024 or early 2025. ℹ️ For more information, visit https://lnkd.in/d-4AwiAN or feel free to reach out if you have any questions: https://lnkd.in/d6fr6Kef #DriverCPC #HGVDrivers #Logistics #FleetSafety #Convey #IndustryUpdates
