We know people are happier outside...but we also know we have a responsibility to help protect the outdoor spaces we love for future generations to enjoy. It's why we're supporting the It’s Up to Us campaign by Mountaineering Scotland and Outdoor Access Trust Scotland, to raise funds for urgent repairs and maintenance on Scotland's mountain trails. During the summer, we were helping to raise funds for Race for Life through Pennies donations at our till points. Thanks to our customers, together we’ve raised £38,067.96, which will be used by Cancer Research UK (CRUK)'s to fund life-saving work to bring us closer to a world free from the fear of cancer. Thank you to everyone who supported and made a donation.

It's an exciting day as not only do we launch our AW24 campaign but it is also the start of our 50th birthday celebrations! New creative is landing in our stores and our marketing team have produced this fantastic video which showcases our heritage, while highlighting the amazing products and advice we have to offer. We know how much people love to get out in the great outdoors with their dogs - and what better day to celebrate that than today, International Dog Day. Pictured are some of the dogs that enjoy being outside as much as our their owners (aka our fantastic colleagues). Every Body Outdoors invited us to join one of their regional walk at Cleeve Hill and we had an amazing time. The support and camaraderie were only surpassed by the stunning views. Thanks for inviting us along!

Last night, Cotswold Outdoor Ambleside hosted special guest Faye Latham for a female-only poetry workshop.   Attendees had an opportunity to connect with other female outdoor groups before a talk about Faye’s book 'British Mountaineers'.   Faye then delivered her poetry workshop which gave all attendees a chance to get creative and unleash their inner poet.   O&CC Marketing Manager, April Howie, said: “It was a fantastic event bringing like-minded women together.   “Faye Latham's workshop was really inspiring and creative, and it was lovely to see everyone's passion for mountaineering and poetry shine through.”   Thank you to Stiles of Ambleside for providing the refreshments.
