  • Celebrating our 35th anniversary in 2023-24, the Trust has provided more support than ever before 😲 Our management consultancy offers charities free, tailored support to address critical organisational development and challenges 💪 Cranfield Trust On Call supports charity leaders with critical and challenging issues that do not require a full consultancy project 📞 We started 126 new mentoring assignments with Chief Executives, emerging leaders and Board Chairs who benefitted from one to one guidance and learning from volunteer mentors in the year. Many charity leaders tell us that mentoring has been transformative for them 💗 We held 12 Peer to Peer exchanges with 65 participants - 100% would recommend to others 🤩 In total, we had 3,895 registrations for the 19 live webinars we held in the year 💻 It was quite a year 🙌 Our panel event last week, in the presence of our Patron, HRH, The Princess Royal, left us feeling invigorated and inspired and we are more committed than ever to being here for charities in the future, to work with them and provide the skills and support they need to complement their own expertise🫶 Read more about our impact, and how our support could complement your charity's skills to develop 👉 https://ow.ly/p7Gz50UK6QM #FeelGoodFriday

  • Journey to Excellence© (J2E) is our unique, tailor-made assessment framework designed to evaluate the progress of the charities we support ☺️ In the 2023-24 year, we completed 153 J2Es 😁 The framework measures progress in four essential management areas: ✅ leadership and strategic direction ✅ financial management and sustainability ✅ people management and performance ✅ impact and helps to identify strengths and areas for development 💪 Overall, our clients improved their performance by an average of 17% as a result of the support they received through our consultancy services (up from 15% last year) 🚀 We also introduced our recognition badge for those charities that have completed their J2E© consultancy project 🎖️ Read our Journey to Excellence case study about our project with charity Building Circles and discover if your charity could benefit from its own Journey 🛣️ https://ow.ly/yEWs50UK6Hh

On 14 January, we were privileged to be guests of Cranfield Trust at their 35th anniversary event and honoured to be introduced to their patron, HRH The Princess Royal.   We were one of 10 small charities selected to attend the event to showcase our work and to acknowledge achieving Cranfield Trust's Journey to Excellence Recognition Badge, awarded for our progress in turning round a struggling charity, establishing a clear and sound business plan, and helping more beneficiaries.   Small charities are the backbone of our society, delivering trusted and essential services relied upon by millions of people every day of the year. Yet now, more than ever, with mounting pressure and demands, their services and survival are under threat.   Sean Robinson, Rehabit CEO, said: “It’s brutal out there at moment, with many grant organisations closing down and even more charities seeking funds from a diminishing pot. Working with Cranfield Trust helped us to plan more clearly and make the best out of the resources we have – and make more confident decisions.”   Dave Smith, chair of trustees, said: “It was very rewarding to be acknowledged for the work we do helping vulnerable people struggling with drugs and alcohol. We will do our best to remain resilient and are committed to making sure Rehabit can continue to help people for many years to come.”   For more information on Rehabit, please see: www.rehabit.uk

  • This evening has left us feeling inspired and invigorated 🤩 It was wonderful to be in the room with our patron, HRH, The Princess Royal, and many incredible charities and organisations, and hear from our expert panel members on such important topics 👏 We have asked all our guests to share their thoughts and feedback on the discussions, which will help further inform our post-event report with key discussion points and recommended actions to support the sector 💪 Our thanks to everyone who attended and took part tonight and special thanks to The Mercers' Company for generously hosting the event for us ☺️
