We are pleased to be working with Hello Student® to develop and implement the decarbonisation strategy for their estate. Through a number of pilot studies, we have identified interventions, easy wins and potential capital projects to deliver decarbonisation targets, lowering energy bills for students and landlords, and minimising maintenance costs for the entire estate. We are now providing technical design services for the interventions, assistance with tendering and procurement and site inspections during construction.

We are Crookes Walker and we do things differently. An experienced team of like-minded engineers, we work together to design building services which are innovative, efficient, and sustainable. Since its beginnings in 2004, the practice has been founded on the principles of a personal approach, backed up by technical competence, to provide clear and concise information and promote team working environments. Controlled growth using like-minded engineers has allowed us to expand to 50 personnel across offices in Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and Belfast. We tend to find most of our business is from clients we have worked with previously or by recommendation.

Plans for the Soapworks in Salford have been resubmitted, with commercial space reduced in favour of affordable homes. The major new waterfront development on the Manchester Ship Canal includes residential and commercial space, transport hub and new public realm and private residential gardens. Topping out achieved at Whitehall Riverside last week! The new build development in Leeds will comprise 500 build to rent apartments with across two buildings, with commercial space on the ground floor. We have designed the MEP services, including 10% renewable energy contribution from PV installation.
Our thanks to everyone who joined us at Whitehall Riverside in Leeds last week as we celebrated the building's topping out. It was a fantastic chance to showcase the progress that's been made here with our partners and colleagues including Legal & General Investment Management (LGIM) and Bowmer and Kirkland Ltd. When complete, Whitehall Riverside will comprise 500 build-to-rent apartments across two towers of 15 and 18 storeys, with commercial space on the ground floor. The project also includes over 15,000 sq ft of exceptional resident amenities on the ground and first floors, complemented by expansive terrace gardens overlooking the River Aire.
