Out at work with CROWLAND CRANES LIMITED East Anglia based Crowland Cranes has been in operation for over 50 years within the construction industry. The company specialises in crane hire, sales, service, testing, recovery and repair. With its Head Office in Crowland, nr Peterborough it has 2 further depots in Stanton and Longwater, Norwich. The company is committed to providing affordable solutions to their customers lifting and transportation requirements. A recent job saw Crowland move and transport these interesting and unusual statues. The company used one of its FASSI cranes, a FASSI F485.2.25 xe-dynamic with Scanreco remote control to carefully extract the statues from their current location and place them precisely on the flat bed ready to transport them to their new home. CROWLAND CRANES LIMITED has welcomed its first unit of 2025, an LTM 1090-4.2. The 100-tonne lifting capacity class crane is part of Crowland Cranes’ renewal programme with Liebherr. The four-axle crane boasts a 60-metre main boom topped by a 9.5 to 16-metre double swingaway fly jib, taking the unit’s hoist height to 76 metres and lifting radius to 62 metres. Enhancing the lifting capabilities further, the unit is supplied with VarioBase® and VarioBallast®, both of these technologies not only improve the charts but also the safety of operation. Managing Director Peter Issitt commented: “Adding the fourth LTM 1090-4.2 was once again, a very simple choice for our rental fleet. The LTM 1090-4.2 has proven to be a well utilised crane within our fleet, supporting our clients throughout East Anglia with the only 100-tonne machine in the four-axle class to carry a full complement of UK counterweight, enabling us to remain competitive and in turn providing our clients with a cost effective solution.” #Liebherr #mobilecrane #heavylift #liebherrcrane
