We are pleased to announce that work has started on our landmark 220 Blackfriars Road site, which will deliver an incredible mixed-use scheme including prime office space and affordable almshouse accommodation for SOUTHWARK CHARITIES. Specialist firm The Downwell Group - Demolition and Enabling Works has started demolition on site, with the wider project team now appointed including Michael Barclay Projects Ltd - MBP as structural engineer, Hoare Lea for MEP, energy and sustainability, fire and acoustic engineer and Eckersley O'Callaghan as façade consultant on the project. We’re celebrating a significant milestone with the "Bottoming Out" of the Salisbury Square Development. This marks the completion of the deepest excavation phase of the project, reaching 18 meters deep on site!   This transformative project will house 18 courtrooms for His Majesty's Courts and Tribunal Services (HMCTS), the new City of London Police HQ, grade A office accommodation, a remodelled listed building, and an enhanced public realm.   The ceremony that took place today included Members of the City of London Corporation, main contractor, Mace, the City of London Police, and the Judiciary, with students from City of London Academies Trust school, Galleywall Primary School, burying a time capsule on site.
