🔨 Precision in Action | Structural Refurbishment Refurbishment projects often present unexpected challenges—especially when structural issues emerge mid-works. During a recent project, we uncovered extensive corrosion in key structural elements, requiring an engineered approach to maintain integrity while carrying out essential repairs. With operations on-site continuing, shutting down wasn’t an option. Our team designed and implemented a carefully engineered propping solution, allowing works to proceed safely and efficiently. This involved: ✅ Designing and installing temporary propping mid-column to maintain structural stability ✅ Cutting into each column to install stainless steel box sections, grouted in sequence ✅ Reinforcing the structure with Rotaflex GFRP rods and high-performance structural grout A challenging yet rewarding project that highlights our expertise in precision refurbishment and problem-solving. That’s why we’re proud to celebrate Abi Inskip, Assistant Design Manager, who has been awarded the prestigious David Tong Cup by the The Worshipful Company Of Constructors for Best Personal Achievement! 🎉 This award recognises individuals who demonstrate exceptional commitment, resilience and impact—qualities Abi has shown throughout her career. While working full-time, she completed an HNC at London South Bank University (LSBU), using that experience to push further and progress onto a BSc course as part of a Level 6 apprenticeship. She also took on the Trainee Challenge, working with four charities to enhance their outdoor spaces—turning learning into real, meaningful change. At Curo Interiors, we celebrate those who go above and beyond, challenging themselves to grow and make an impact. Abi does exactly that, and we couldn’t be prouder to have her on our team. We were hard at work at Optima Park in Crayford, transforming a neglected 36,566 sq ft industrial warehouse into a clean, functional space. 🏗️✨ This end-of-tenancy refurbishment tackled years of wear and tear, from stripping out finishes to repairing floors, upgrading interiors and revitalising the façade. 🎉 It’s National Apprentice Week, and we’re excited to introduce ben brewood one of our amazing Trainee Quantity Surveyors at Curo Interiors. His journey is a great example of how young talent can grow with the right support. Ben started as a carpenter, but after a week of work experience with Curo, he discovered a new side of construction that sparked his interest. Today, he’s taking on key responsibilities—managing subcontractors, keeping projects on track, and gaining valuable on-site experience. 💡 Curo’s mentorship programmes and CUBES (Curo Built Environment School) have played a big role in Ben’s development. CUBES provides mentorship, hands-on experience, and a space for apprentices to connect and learn together. Following on with our introduction to Curo Workspace, is an intro to the team. Starting with our Pre-Construction Director, David Jones, and our Creative Director, Kailee Lane. David has a huge wealth of experience working in the Workspace Design & Build sector, leading the way in our tailored pre-construction process. ‘Bringing Curo Workspace into reality has been a truly exciting time, the support and structure from the Curo Construction and Curo Interiors teams has been a breath of fresh air, and creating a Design & Build business with the support of these recognised leaders in the construction industry gives our clients the reassurance of our stability, while also having a fresh start-up feel to Curo Workspace.’ Kailee’s goal for the creative team is to curate an engaging environment for everyone to feel bold, brave and energised. ‘My main ambition when building my team is to empower likeminded creatives and to give them an environment they are drawn to, feel happy in, and feel free to be their best selves.
