We're delighted to announce that our proposal to build a data centre within the Move Urmston Leisure centre has been approved by Trafford Council. Our 400kW data centre will provide tens of thousands of £’s of free heat energy each year to the leisure centre, and will save 100’s of tonnes of carbon in its lifetime. Clients who use the data centre will also, as part of their commitment to the local community, donate hundreds of “Community Swim Hours” - tokens for free pool and facilities access, distributed through local community initiatives. This project has only been made possible with the determination and resilience of a dedicated team, including Trafford Leisure, Trafford Council, the local community, our partnerships in design and build, and Octopus Energy Generation.
