  • Clackmannanshire and Stirling Health and Social Care Partnership have successfully implemented the Shared ARC Platform! 👏 This is a great achievement and means that Clackmannanshire and Stirling are amongst the forefront of Scottish HSCPs and Local Authorities in delivering the analogue to digital switchover of telecare. Since securing capital funding in 2022, teams from across the HSCP and partner bodies have collaborated successfully to create long-term benefits for supported individuals. Lawrence Hay, Head of Customer Service & Performance, Stirling Council, said: “The 24-7 Customer Service team and the MECS teams have demonstrated unwavering support and dedication in implementing the new Chubb Fire & Security UK and Skyresponse AB MECS Telephony system while continuing to maintain their usual high standards of customer service. Their hard work and commitment have been instrumental in ensuring a smooth transition and the successful deployment of this new digital platform, an achievement they should be incredibly proud of." Thank you to all attendees for joining our Scottish Community Event today as part of the Digital Council Week! It was great to connect with local councils in discussing the impacts and outcomes of their service improvement efforts, setting the stage for sharing and standardisation, and further supporting process maturity in the community. A special thanks to Verity Hislop and the Digital Office for Scottish Local Government for the ongoing collaboration, and to our customers and partners for sharing their expertise and lessons learned. We are leaving the day inspired by the efforts and ambitions of Scottish councils to create positive change for their communities, and seeing how we can help to drive teams forward in achieving their goals.

  • Today, for Innovation Day at Digital Council Week, we're delighted to announce an upcoming webinar! In collaboration with CENSIS, we are covering ongoing Smart Infrastructure projects within the 5G Innovation Region Programmes. Join us for our third webinar led by the Tay Cities Deal and the The Scotland 5G Centre. Over recent years, Dundee City Council has managed the Tay Cities Deal: Tay5G Programme, creating a testbed in Dundee and collaborating with S5GC for technical expertise. Eight projects have been delivered, with the final four now underway. The programme aims to stimulate engagement with, and adoption of, advanced communications, including 5G. It is hoped that this work will build on the diverse solutions that can help public and private sectors carry out service delivery, marketing, training/skills development, content production, manufacturing/productivity and informing R&D. Tay5G projects span creative/digital industries, agriculture, transport, offshore services, and smart cities/connected communities. The Virtual Production project has been a significant factor in Abertay University leading the Scotland hub of the CoSTAR programme funded by the UK Government. 📅 Date: Wednesday 23rd April 🕛 Time: 11:00am - 12:00pm 🖥️ Location: Microsoft Teams Interested in finding out more? Register Now: https://lnkd.in/exSZuhfD Please note that this event is for members of the Local Government Digital Partnership only.

  • Data Driven Day at Digital Council Week 📊 Today, we hosted an engaging live session with CACI, attracting 80 participants! In October 2024, COSLA secured access to CACI's Acorn and Paycheck products, with 23 Councils already participating in the first year of the agreement. This initiative leverages the experience of Councils that have utilised this data to enhance policy and planning decision-making. By using detailed demographic data, we can enable targeted interventions across Scotland. During our session, colleagues from CACI Ltd discussed their data sets and introduced the Child Poverty Playbook, developed based on the experiences of several Scottish Councils. Councillor Katie Hagmann, COSLA Resources Spokesperson (Finance, Employers and Digital), highlighted, "The Scotland-Wide Data Agreement demonstrates the power of partnership working to deliver real benefits for local authorities across Scotland. Given the context of increasing demand and expectations on local government, alongside limited budgets and resources, this initiative equips councils with the tools they need to make smarter, more informed decisions, target interventions effectively, and ultimately improve the lives of the people and communities we serve." Dr Colin Birchenall, Chief Technology Officer, Digital Office for Scottish Local Government, added, “The availability of this data has the potential to improve outcomes for the people of Scotland. This initiative illustrates how improved access to data can help Councils to improve policy and planning decision-making, enable more targeted interventions, make more efficient use of resources, and ultimately improve the wellbeing of our communities.” Find out more: https://ow.ly/ZkuT50VnYEQ
