Two innovation engineers at Drax Power Station have partnered with the prestigious Diana Award charity to provide mentoring for young people at risk of becoming NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training). 🤝 Research from the Office for National Statistics indicates that there are an estimated 900,000 NEET young people in the UK, that’s 12.6% of young people - two of Drax’s engineers share how proud they are to be making a difference in our latest press release. 👥 Mustapha Cham, Innovation Engineer at Drax and one of the mentors, said: “A mentoring programme like this allows me to just show people and tell people it really doesn't matter about your background or what you've got. You can work on big things like BECCS (bioenergy with carbon capture) and other important projects in different industries. Any young person can achieve that, with the proper support and encouragement to embrace their vulnerabilities.” 💬 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eDB3av6B
