In the past, industries such as coal and slate devastated the environment and blighted lives, while the profits were enjoyed by mine and quarry owners. Today, it is industries such as tourism and energy production which extract wealth from local communities. Increasingly, people want to build a different kind of economy – one in which the wealth they create is retained and shared locally, which is sustainable environmentally, and which supports people’s languages and cultures.  This community or social enterprise approach has been around for some time. The Barriers to #Startup Grant for 25-year-olds and over is a discretionary grant provided by #WelshGovernment to provide financial assistance for individuals who have barriers to starting up a business in Wales. (English below) Mae’r #Grant Rhwystrau i Gychwyn ar gyfer pobl 25 oed a throsodd yn grant dewisol a ddarperir gan Lywodraeth Cymru i ddarparu cymorth ariannol i unigolion sy’n wynebu rhwystrau rhag dechrau busnes yng Nghymru. Nod y grant yw galluogi unigolion economaidd anweithgar a di-waith 25 oed a throsodd i ddechrau busnes yng Nghymru a bydd yn targedu’n benodol unigolion sy’n wynebu rhwystrau i gychwyn busnes a’r farchnad gyflogaeth. Mae grant o hyd at £2,000 ar gael i helpu unigolion gyda chostau hanfodol cychwyn y busnes. Wrth ddarparu’r grant hwn mae Llywodraeth Cymru yn buddsoddi ynoch chi a’ch cynnig busnes. Wrth gael mynediad at y cyllid, byddwch yn derbyn cymorth cychwyn busnes a bydd angen ichi ddangos o fewn y cais ymarferoldeb eich busnes cychwynnol a'ch incwm arfaethedig. ENG:   The aim of the grant is to enable economically inactive and unemployed individuals aged 25 years and over to start up a business in Wales and will particularly target individuals that are facing barriers to business start-up and the employment market.   A grant of up to £2,000 is available to help individuals with the essential costs of starting the business. In providing this grant the Welsh Government is making an investment in you and your business proposal. In accessing the funding, you will receive start up support and will need to demonstrate within the application the viability of your start up business and proposed income. #startupwales #startupgrants #dechraubusnes
