Dear LinkedIn followers - we have had our DYW West page taken down by LinkedIn twice in the last week. And the process for getting it back is not a simple one. We have been told our posts do not conform to LinkedIn's policy and certain posts are "discriminatory" e.g. apprenticeships that have an age range or an opportunity relating to under represented groups such as women into #engineering / #automotive / #construction or males in to early years / social care are some examples. Therefore we will not be posting / sharing / liking or commenting on the many posts on LinkedIn that are of this nature. We do not agree with the stance of LinkedIn but we have been told if we don't abide by their policy our page will be permanently deleted. The posts not allowed on LinkedIn channels will still be posted on our X and facebook channels. The posts not allowed on LinkedIn are common on many channels and there to help promote / market opportunities to employers / educators / parents & guardians / and of course young people.
