👷 Early Contractor Involvement, the best solution for collaborative working - Encon recently worked with Hafod on a Pre-Construction Services Agreement to facilitate site enabling works via a Minor Works Contract whilst developing the design and cost certainty for the full development.    This enabled Encon to construct a bat house, demolish an existing school and prepare site ahead of entering a full JCT D&B Contract for the future construction of 30 apartments and 4 semi-detached houses. Collaboration was embraced by the full team - Encon Construction Ltd, Hafod, TC Consult Ltd, LRM Planning, Pentan Architects, CB3 Consult Ltd , Total CDM Solutions Ltd, Hicks Titley Partnership Limited, catherine etchell, Qualitas Compliance, Earth Science Partnership Ltd.   “The PCSA and Minor Works contract have enabled Hafod and Encon to progress the design and key work packages on a complex scheme within the critical path. The whole team have worked collaboratively, focusing on the scheme and derisking as many elements of the scheme as possible. This form of procurement plays to each parties’ strengths and knowledge in an open and transparent way.” – Neil Taylor, Hafod

Lost for Words is set to debut on the international stage. The film will premiere at CPH:DOX in Copenhagen on 20th March and at Festival International du Film sur l'Art in Montreal on 22nd March. Congratulations to everyone involved in bringing this incredible project to life, including Hopscotch Films UK, Rétroviseur Productions, Hannah Papacek Harper, Robert Macfarlane, Jackie Morris, Tess Barthes, and Gabriela Sawaya.   We enjoyed getting involved in the filming process while delivering a geology workshop to the pupils of Ysgol Gynradd Gymraeg Y Login Fach in the Autumn of 2023. We’re looking forward to seeing Lost for Words and it’s powerful messages resonate with audiences worldwide!
