🚨 New Series Alert 🚨 Our creative team have truly been cooking over the last few months, and we’re finally ready to share it with you all… 🧑🍳 Allow us to present our new video project, Climate+ The theme for this series is intersectionality — it’s a word that is crucial to both understanding the causes and devising effective solutions to the climate crisis. We’ve teamed up with the good folks at Oxfam to create a five-part series all about the links between climate change and other issues like gender, conflict, class, colonialism, and health. We’ll be releasing five episodes weekly over the course of the next five weeks, with the first launching on Monday 8 July. You can watch the full episodes on Instagram or our YouTube channel: https://lnkd.in/eUtCxuEn Tap the images below to find out what each episode of Climate+ is about, and leave a comment below about which one you’re looking forward to the most! 💬 Huge shout-out to our video editor Paolina Stefani for editing the series and graphic designer Josephine Choy for creating the beautiful series artwork! 👏 🎨 #climatechange #videoproduction #creativestudio #digitalcontent

Two years in the making 🎉 – we are so delighted to share ‘Mother Nature’, our multimedia project with award winning photojournalist Lynsey Addario in collaboration with Google Arts and Culture United Nations ACT NOW Campaign. Photography and reporting supported by the National Geographic Society 'Mother Nature' tells the complex relationship between climate and gender across three interactive photostories from flooding in South Sudan to female firefighters in California to Indigenous women in Brazil. It’s been a very special NY Climate Week ✌️ Reconnecting with old friends and forging new relationships with a shared purpose. Through it all, our mission was very clear. To listen to what’s being said, and ask: what are the stories that feel urgent, emergent, resonant? And as a storytelling platform, how can we better service those stories that are underserved? One thing was clear: whilst storytelling has never been more celebrated in theory – it’s also still chronically underfunded and underestimated. We also heard from collaborators all over that storytelling is also increasingly harder to do. We were inspired to hear stories from so many different angles, including: • The growing awareness of the entertainment industry that we need to underwrite and Trojan horse more climate stories into the mainstream • How to rethink the economy, with a special lens on moral economies and bioregionalism • The shift towards focusing on alternative systems for a thriving planet and societies rather than just focusing on the problem • The rise of Indigenous storytelling collectives around the globe * Rights of nature as an uncovered theme in storytelling, with its potential to reflect not only shifts on the systemic level but also spotlight positive community led stories • A growing rise in threats towards environmental and land defenders, including lawyers and journalists around the world We’re so grateful to have been Futerra media partner for #SolutionsHouse, getting to interview some of the most exciting solutionists of our time. We got to co-host the Rainforest Reception with Amazon WatchRainforest Action Network, and more. And, we were so thrilled to preview our documentary, Our Oceans are on Fire, with Coral Gardeners at Hope House with Time for Better 🪸 What a special week. “The climate crisis isn’t gender neutral - instead, it magnifies the gender inequalities already faced by women and girls around the world. But while climate change amplifies vulnerabilities, women and girls can amplify solutions.” At Google we believe in the power of storytelling to inspire individual climate action. With billions of people using our products and platforms daily, we have a unique ability to share credible information about the ways people can drive progress across the #SDGs. That’s why I’m excited to share the launch of a new Google Arts & Culture online interactive experience, Mother Nature, which highlights the profound impact of climate change on women and the ways in which they’re working to combat it.  In collaboration with Earthrise Studio Alice Aedy, Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist Lynsey Addario and the United Nations Act Now campaign, this photography exhibit invites you to explore the stories of women who are fighting against - from California with its dangerous wildfires, to Brazil facing mass deforestation, to Sudan facing disastrous flooding. As the mother of a young daughter, I am inspired by the stories of these amazing women and hopeful that the actions they take today will result in a better tomorrow for her. 🌍 Do you live in a city? Home looks different for each of us, but more than half of the world's population calls a city home. By 2050, that number will soar to 70%. Cities are not just where we live—they're the building blocks of our future. 🏙️ As we face the growing challenges of climate change, it's crucial to rethink the role cities will play in shaping a sustainable world. And who better to lead the charge than those at the helm—our mayors. 🌱 Introducing the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy (GCoM), a global alliance of city leaders dedicated to combating climate change and building a resilient future for all. 👉  Follow their work to stay updated on how they're driving the change we need, one city at a time. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gmcihwr ❤️ Thank you so much to with incredible team that came together to work on this film: Executive Producers: Alice Aedy, Joi Lee, Global Covenant of Mayors Producers: Benjamin Jance IV, Melanija Tacconi Director & Video Editor: Paolina Stefani Art Director & Motion Graphic Designer: Josephine Choy Producer: Izzy Sasada Social Media Producer: Hassan Raja Sound Designer & Composer: Max Balin Line Producer: Chloe Puttock Voice Over: Joi Lee #Cities #ClimateChange #Leadership

Cutting-edge video production is at the heart of our operations at Earthrise, and the incredible creative mind steering that ship is Paolina Stefani, a talented Director, Video Editor and Creative Producer. Since joining us full-time last summer, she’s helped us push the boundaries of storytelling through her deeply emotive, impactful work. Her use of language, rhythm, pace and a strong sense of pathos is second to none. Paolina brings a unique blend of creativity, technical skill, and empathy to her work, resulting in pieces that are not only visually stunning but also emotionally engaging and thought-provoking. Her favourite project since joining Earthrise is ‘Resisters: A Lens on Gender and Ecology’ — a short film she wrote, directed and edited for the Barbican. If you’ve watched the film, you will have seen how it masterfully intertwines the themes of gender and environmental activism. Her leadership on this project as well as her storytelling expertise brought the film to life, and is one of many examples of her ability to craft impactful stories that drive meaningful conversations. #VideoEditor #Director #CreativeProducer #VideoProduction
