Eastside People, in partnership with ACEVO, is launching an innovative, free tool on the 26th September that will enable charities and not-for-profit organisations to analyse and report on their organisations maturity and progress on ESG. Data from surveys completed before the end of October will be included in the full report, published in December, and it will offer a wealth of information for charities and not-for-profits to look in more detail at their workforce practices, social impact, environmental footprint and governance in a charity-sector context. The charity working to improve the lives of older people in their local community, Age UK Richmond upon Thames, is looking for a new chair of trustees for their board. With the current treasurer trustee stepping down after 5 years, Lymphoma Action is seeking a finance specialist to join their Board. They are looking for some who: 1. Can continue oversight of both their financial affairs and risk management. 2. Could be in a senior management role at another charity, or in the commercial sector with an interest in getting involved with a charity 3. Is skilled at translating complex financial matters into everyday language to enable the Board to engage with the issues in an educated and informed way. The treasurer will also chair their Finance and Risk Committee to ensure that financial monitoring and risk management is robust and fit for purpose, as well as attend the annual Remuneration Committee meeting.
