Say hello to your new committee!   Chaired by Darren Elder of Ashtead Technology, our objective is to develop the knowledge, skills and networks of emerging professionals in late life and decommissioning to ensure that individuals have fulfilling and prosperous careers, and that the industry retains and attracts talented people to ensure sustainable offshore energy decommissioning.   Over the coming weeks we’ll be introducing you to our committee members who will be working together to deliver a variety of events and experiences for the EPLLD community. Webinar on Careers in Decommissioning Curious about career opportunities in decommissioning? Join us for a webinar with industry players who’ll share insights, career paths, and tips for navigating the field. Regular Polls to Get You Thinking We’ll be running regular polls to spark conversations and get everyone thinking about the future of decommissioning. Your thoughts matter, and we want to hear them! Lunch & Learn Opportunities We’re opening opportunities for any organisation to host a Lunch & Learn session for emerging professionals in decommissioning. Decom Week 2025 / Steering Committee The team at Decom Mission are getting into the details for the next occurrence of Decom Week, in May 2025. We are now calling for names to sit on the Steering Committee and would love to have EPLLD representatives help us shape the agenda and the themes for the week. Voices everywhere are asking where is the workforce of the future and its really important that we build a week that enables emerging professionals to address this. Exciting news from Women in Decommissioning (WiD)   We are thrilled to announce our upcoming event, Elevating Voices: Master Decom Presentations.   Date: October 8th Time: 17:30 - 20:30 Location: Net Zero Technology Centre Event Highlights:   Master Class in Business Storytelling: Learn from Bob Keiller and Derrick Thomson, business storytelling experts and co-founders of AB15, as they take us through a master class in compelling business storytelling. Speakers will include Derek Richardson of TRADEBE ScotOil, who will cover decommissioning disposal challenges, Ceri Wheaton of Spirit Energy, who will provide an operator’s perspective on offshore dismantling, and Steve Taylor of AF Offshore Decom who will guide attendees from removal preparation through to final disposal.
