Co-locating solar PV and BESS can optimise your output, and revenue, if you know how. Fortunately, Simona S., our Head of EPC Operations, is presenting a paper today at the Institution of Power Engineers - IPowerE Conference detailing just that. Simona will guide attendees through understanding the operational profiles, design configurations, and specific business considerations required to make the most efficient, and profitable, #RenewableEnergy assets. Our 24/7 #Control #Room team can identify, investigate and action performance and non-performance-related issues. But you may wonder how quickly do we react to get your assets back to #peak #performance? Picking up on potential faults is the first step to resolving them. With a streamlined process, our #Monitoring and O&M team can get from detection to resolution as quickly and efficiently as possible. If you’d like to know more about our O&M and Monitoring services, you can call us on 01726 218 618 or take a look at our website: https://lnkd.in/ecjeNhz8

This time last year Ethical Power took a huge step towards becoming a fully vertically integrated renewables provider by completing the merger with our ICP division. The wealth of expertise this brought in delivering distribution-level renewable energy solutions cannot be understated, and we have only improved since then! This was neither the first step, nor the last, but we are proud of how far we have come on our journey to be the UK's foremost #RenewableEnergy Independent Power Provider. And we have continued to grow, both in size and capability, and expanded into new territories. We aren’t resting on our laurels either, with our Group integration kicking into gear as we speak. This will result in even greater operational efficiencies both for us and our partners. Thanks to everyone who has helped us on our journey, and welcome to all those who are joining us now. The best is yet to come! https://lnkd.in/eY7HJt7W

What happens when the lights go out on a solar farm? This mean machine kicks in! Power cuts at an energy generation asset may seem counterintuitive, but component failure or extreme weather events can lead to CCTV downtime. The resulting blindspots in security could have serious consequences. That's where our new rapid-deployment security devices come in. These silent sentinels are powered, and operated, independently of site infrastructure. They can detect intruders, alert staff, and send images to our 24/7 monitoring control room, meaning your assets never go unprotected. Easy to deploy and fully independent, they make a great addition to the team! We are delighted to announce that Head of Operations Simona S. will deliver a workshop on the co-location of solar PV and BESS at the Institution of Power Engineers - IPowerE International Power Conference. Co-located #solar and #BESS has the potential to revolutionise the energy landscape, offering greater reliability and profitability. However, this comes with many unique design and business considerations, not least the decision between AC and DC coupling. Simona brings a wealth of experience in the #RenewableEnergy sector and her workshop on the 29th of October deep diving into the practicalities and potential of co-location is not one to miss! Someone left a dirt mound on one of our solar sites and we're happy about it! Let us tell you why. This modest pile is a hibernaculum, and we built it on-site to help encourage more snakes and reptiles to establish in the area, as part of the project’s Biodiversity Net Gain plan. Snakes, such as grass snakes and adders, can be found on grasslands and farmlands. Like us, snakes start to get chilly in October, so they look for somewhere warm and cosy. While we might be ok with some hot chocolate and a thick jumper, snakes need to lower their energy consumption, so they will reduce their activity and forgo their meals during the winter months. Hibernacula like this provide them with a safe, warm place to overwinter, before resurfacing in spring. Grass is seeded on top of the hibernacula, anchoring it in place and helping it blend in with the rest of the environment. Soon, this will be nearly undetectable, aside from the small ducting that acts as an entrance. Check back in with us next spring to see how our slithery friends are getting on! #Biodiversity #RenewableEnergy #Snakes

For World Mental Health Day, we invited our teams to take time out to come together and share what mental health means to them. Words like "communication", "acceptance", and "support" came up again and again in their discussions. Open conversations help break the stigma around #MentalHealth in #Construction and create a workplace where mental and emotional well-being is a priority for everyone. We know that the construction industry comes with a lot of challenges, even in renewable energy. From managing tight deadlines and long hours away from loved ones, to balancing all the moving parts involved in large projects. On top of that, more than half of workers in our sector don't feel comfortable speaking up about mental health challenges, making it even harder for them to get the support they need. Let's continue to remind ourselves and each other that it's ok to ask for help. Thank you to everyone for joining in, we are proud to be part of a team that supports these conversations and each other. 💚 #WorldMentalHealthDay
