Our team had a fantastic evening at the 2024 Women In Construction & Engineering Awards, where our SHEQ Advisor, Weronika Bukowska, was shortlisted as a finalist! "It was such a great night! The team has been absolutely fantastic and honestly although I didn’t win the trophy it’s hard not to feel like a winner with the support I’ve been given throughout 🥰" she said. Ronnie was selected from a pool of hundreds of nominations all across Europe to be one of nine Health and Safety finalists. Her nomination was based on her exemplary achievements and experience, and supported by testimonials from current and former colleagues. Congratulations to Ronnie, and all winners and nominees at last night’s award ceremony. #WomenInEngineering #Construction #Solar Alice Bowring Christopher Rodgers Dan Evans FCCA

What could be harder than running a half marathon? Running a half marathon in full PPE! Jake Humphries and Christopher Rodgers from Ethical Power will be running the Bristol Half Marathon on May 19th in support of Children's Hospice South West. The two will be running in full safety gear, including boots, overalls, hard hats, and gloves, all decorated by the kids at CHSW’s Charlton Farm hospice. The goal is to raise £15,000 for CHSW, Ethical Power’s charity of the year. We chose CHSW after Jake highlighted the great work they did to support his sister in her time of need. We are already halfway to our goal, so visit our JustGiving page if you want to help out Charlton Farm Hospice: 👇 https://lnkd.in/e8w7cCYx “Both Chris and I are passionate about the hospice and the work it does. Our family knows first-hand what a difference CHSW makes to so many families across the southwest,” said Jake. We couldn’t be more proud of all the hard work Jake and Chris have already put in to raise money for the charity. Good luck you two!

The Senior Leadership Teams from Ethical Power Connections and Low Carbon visited the Meadow Solar Farm co-located 45 MW solar and 10MW BESS site. On this project, owned by Low Carbon, Ethical Power is responsible for the design and build of a 132kV Loop-In Loop-Out connection to the network via a substation up to the 33kV feeders. The scope of work also includes the installation of a 132kV/33kV, 30/52.5MVA Power Transformer. The collaborative visit with our Low Carbon partners underscores our dedication to visible leadership, supporting our journey towards achieving #ZeroHarm. As we celebrate the World Day for #Safety and #Health at Work, we take another look at the pillars driving a positive safety culture at Ethical Power which include: ✋ easy and robust reporting systems, 👋 regular updates, including Toolbox Talks, Safety Briefings and more, 👏 reward and recognition schemes, 🤝 visible leadership, engaging with day-to-day operations and recognising everyone's contribution to health and safety. #WorldDayForSafetyAndHealthAtWork #workplacesafety

Running a half marathon in 6 point PPE - that's the #challenge in front of our Operations Director, Jake Humphries and HSE Manager, Christopher Rodgers, raising money for Children's Hospice South West. On Sunday, 19th May, they will attempt to complete the #Bristol Half Marathon wearing arc flash overalls, hard hats, gloves and boots! Children's Hospice South West is Ethical Power's chosen #charity for the year. It provides help and support to children and families living with life-limiting conditions. The running of the charity and upkeep of the three grounds in which they operate cost around £11million each year, relying almost entirely on donations and contributions. The arc flash overalls for the run will be decorated with colourful handprints by children staying at CHSW’s Charlton Farm hospice in Wraxall. The idea was inspired by a wall of handprints which features in the messy play area at the hospice. And read the full story about this challenge and what motivates Jake and Chris to complete it here: https://lnkd.in/ezXnA6tJ We've committed to raise £15,000 for the Children's Hospice South West this year. Please support the CHSW and Jake and Chris, by donating through our fundraising page: https://lnkd.in/eRfzya4V
