Coinciding with Heritage Open Days, Wakefield Council has launched a new heritage framework, supported by partners from across the district! The launch event was a wonderful day bringing together the heritage community from around the Wakefield district, including representatives from civic societies, heritage trusts, historic attractions, alongside council officers and staff. And there was no better time for the launch than Heritage Open Days! Heritage Open Days is a great opportunity to see what our many museums and community heritage groups are doing to celebrate heritage across the district. It's also a great opportunity to see some of Wakefield’s amazing "hidden" heritage and to find out more about how you can get involved.
