A fun reel from Final Pixel Academy from our recent #Ireland #VirtualProduction tour! Lead by the passionate Dr Jodi Nelson-Tabor with an amazing core team Final Pixel Jean Ciuntu James Codling Tai Ball, I had the pleasure of convincing them that swimming in the emerald Irish sea in September was a wonderful thing haha! Taking a break to touch nature vs touching screens is so important, and so well earned on this project too! This project collaboration with Fís Éireann/Screen Ireland Cultural & Creative Industries Skillnet National Talent Academies travelled us and an LED wall and VP system from London to Dublin, to Galway, to Limerick, to Cork, and back to Dublin in 10 days. It truly was a rock and roll show, and we were all rock stars. Also later joined by Graham Robinson once back in Dublin, for creative insights into the world of Unreal Engine and beyond. Michael McKenna Final Pixel also jumped on the fun. It was great to have everyone together. We were also met by the lovely Irish team players Rowena Kelly Susan Talbot Fran Keaveney along with many more great participants in each location. Sharing knowledge and stories, creating connections - it really was a beautiful thing. Technology can do many things, though it's how we use it to connect with each other and continue to harvest our stories in new ways that is most meaningful. Being in Ireland allowed me to connect with the part of me that is of Irish heritage, while connecting with my passion for cinematography and story. How magical is that! I am grateful and excited for all that is to come in this ever expanding world of story creation. A special shoutout to the Hanah Draper Amir Jamal Yael Roth on the FP side cheering us on and supporting from the stands!
