Small but perfectly formed team building with Mad Science UK at our didsbury venue. As a company that offers flexible working, how do we stay connected? ☀️🧑🍳 Last week, the Owlies travelled from far and wide to the one and only Manchester, host city of our 2023 Summer Social. The mission of the day was simple; to reconnect as a team, and have some FUN! Our Social kicked off at the amazing Food Sorcery in Deansgate, where our knife skills were put to the test as we cooked up a delicious vegan feast under the guidance of Chef Dan. All of that cooking was thirsty work, so we spent the afternoon catching up, taking over the photo booth, and comparing cooking notes over beers and fizz at Albert Schloss. A huge thank you to the team at FoodSorcery and Albert Schloss for looking after us so well, and the entire Owlie team for bringing the fun, energy and bants. We definitely all learnt a thing or two, but most importantly, we got to spend some much needed laptop-free time together. Days like this are so special, and we’re already looking forward to the next one! It was a pleasure to host teams from Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Travel Counsellors for an immersive cookery day. After a destination presentation, guests rolled up their sleeves for a sushi and gyoza-making workshop, where they honed their rolling and folding skills to create delicious Japanese foods. The event was great fun with plenty of laughter from the travel agents as well as learning, It was a fantastic to see such great connections within the travel team.

Thornleigh Salesian College were with us today, having organised a Spanish-themed culinary experience for their Year 10 students, the students immersed themselves in Spanish culture through a bespoke cookery class. Spanish culture was brought to life by chef, teaching them to prepare and enjoy authentic Spanish dishes.
