The UK Agri-Tech Centre team will be attending Groundswell Agriculture this week! 📍You can find us at stand PF E16 Visit our stand to discuss all things agri-tech and learn about the latest projects! One project that we will be showcasing is SprayBot. SprayBot is a three-year feasibility study funded by Innovate UK that investigates combining early disease detection techniques such as imaging and spore sensors with robotic machinery. The goal is to develop a system that improves fungicide and pesticide application, aiming to reduce overall pesticide use by optimising the timing and location of sprays before the disease becomes established. The project is being delivered by a consortium – disease forecasting and diagnostics from Newcastle University, crop imaging and analytics from FOTENIX, spray application from Silsoe Spray Applications Unit Limited (SSAU), and autonomous farm robotics.
