🚀 We’re delighted to share the news that the Financial Times has named Founders Factory as the number one startup hub in the UK, according to their just-published European Startup Hubs Report. We’ve also ranked in Europe’s top five for the second year running. The FT European Startup Hubs report, published jointly with Statista and Sifted, ranks the top venture studios, incubators, and accelerator programmes across Europe. The rankings—featuring 150 organisations across Europe—take into account alumni assessments, recommendations from startups and entrepreneurs, and overall portfolio performance, among other criteria. On the announcement, Minister for Investment Poppy Gustafsson said: “The UK is one of the best destinations in the world to invest, so I’m delighted that Founders Factory has been recognised as the UK’s top startup hub. Setting up a company and then trying to make it a success is great fun, but it is also pretty hard. When I saw an opportunity to set up Tembo – back during the depths of covid - I wanted to do everything I could to reduce the risk of it failing. I’d already launched one company but this time around I had a young family and a big mortgage, so maximising the opportunity for success was really important to me. One of the most important steps initially was launching with my then employer, Founders Factory. They provided the platform and support that helped get Tembo off the ground.  Crucially, they also had the relationship with Aviva – who have been really critical to our success so far – having invested multiple times as well as being one of our biggest customers and suppliers.
