Dan Floyd, Heavy Haul Train Driver at #Freightliner, is shortlisted for Railway Benefit Fund's Heart of Gold Inspirational Volunteer Award! 🏆 This award recognises individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, compassion, and service by helping others. Dan has dedicated his time to volunteering at a local school which specialises in supporting students with learning difficulties and disabilities. Dan's involvement with the school has been invaluable - helping with fundraising events, maintaining and repairing the school's gauge railway both in both an engineering and operational capacity and Dan even built an 11ft long, one fifth scale working steam locomotive from scratch over 3 years for the school. Increased rail incentive since the start of October! 📆 DP World's Modal Shift Programme (MSP) rewards you for choosing #rail over road whilst helping to decarbonise supply chains and reduce emissions.
