The Very Group, which operates digital retailers Very and Littlewoods, saw revenue growth in Very #UK despite losses elsewhere over the year ended 29th June 2024. Despite poor weather impacting garden sales (-16.5%), Very only saw a slight decline in its #Home category (-0.7%), reflecting resilience in the market. GfK’s long-running Consumer Confidence Index fell one point to -21 in October (up nine points YoY). New analysis from UKHospitality and the British Retail Consortium (BRC) reveals that the sectors collectively pay one third of all business rates in the UK, while accounting for 9% of the economy.
