It's been 2 weeks since the 2024 IEEE Ultrasonics, Ferroelectrics and Frequency Control Joint Symposium in Taiwan! I enjoyed attending multiple oral and poster presentations discussing the progress in #ultrasonics research to date and also presenting my own poster titled Acoustic Metamaterial Optimisation for Megahertz Frequencies. I really appreciate all of the people that came to chat to me about the weird and wonderful topic of #metamaterials!

FUSE CDT have returned from a wonderful retreat at Gleddoch 🎉   Over the course of three days, we engaged in insightful discussions, workshops and seminars and listened to inspiring keynote speeches. The retreat provided a unique opportunity to step away from the lab and immerse ourselves in an engaging environment focused on innovation and growth.   Key highlights included collaborative learning, networking, team building and personal growth. Thanks to FUSE CDT: EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Future Ultrasonic Engineering for inviting me to their centre retreat where I had the opportunity to talk about my experience with Viva preparation and thesis writing. I hope my experience was insightful for all the future researchers coming through the CDT.

The event was a fantastic blend of innovation, collaboration and it was a pleasure for FUSE CDT: EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Future Ultrasonic Engineering to be there demonstrating and showcasing our work in the future of ultrasound!

The event is taking place at University of Glasgow and offers collaboration between PIADS and FUSE PhD students. It's a fantastic chance to explore career opportunities with industry leaders and enhance employability using various tools and techniques. A huge thanks to our industry partners for participating as well!
