Pride in London’s theme this year is about celebrating the power and contributions of the LGBTQ+ community to this city: WE ARE EVERYWHERE.🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ It’s about embracing our authenticity and driving change!✨ It’s about solidarity and standing up for our fundamental rights at a time when our community, and particularly our trans and non-binary siblings, are under constant attack. 📆As a reminder, tomorrow, Sunday 23rd June we’ll host the Pride in London Human Rights Forum in partnership with The University of Westminster. Join us for a conversation with renowned LGBTQ+ Human Rights experts. Find all details, and reserve your free seat, here: lnkd.in/emBQZgR7 #PrideInLondon #PrideMonth #LGBTQ+

I had the absolute privilege of listening to Joel Kim Booster interview Nymphia Wind for the latest issue of GAY TIMES. They discuss life post-Drag Race and their shared experience as East Asian stars in the spotlight. Read below!

Musician Fever Ray and history-making Drag Queen Nymphia Wind cover the new issue of GAY TIMES Magazine 📸 The July issue of GAY TIMES comes shortly before Pride in London, and a spirit of celebration is in the air. Pride is a time for us to reflect on the year in queer life, so we hope this issue speaks to the breadth of the queer experience as a reminder of just how special our shared solidarity and power is. Following her triumphant reign on season 16 of RuPaul's Drag Race, where she became the franchise's first East Asian winner, Nymphia speaks with personal friend Joel Kim Booster about her historic win, gaining praise from Taiwan's President, and life post-Drag Race. Another queer trailblazer covering this issue is Swedish experimental musician Fever Ray. Speaking to Anna Cafolla, they discuss their There's No Place I'd Rather Be tour, overcoming chronic stage fright, accepting love into their life and the growing neo-fascism in Sweden. Incredibly touched to have won Best Consumer Magazine coverage at the Visit USA Media Awards last night for my piece on Palm Springs for GAY TIMES 🌴 Thank you VISIT USA ASSOCIATION (UK) for the lovely recognition – and thank you FINN Partners UK for entering the piece (and inviting me on the trip last year!) As an LGBTQ+ traveler, I can honestly say Palm Springs is way up there as one of the most inclusive, welcoming and visually stunning destinations I've had the privilege of visiting. Visit Greater Palm Springs and Kimber Foster, CTE were such great hosts for our trip and really created an unforgettable experience. You can read my piece here: https://lnkd.in/eAmeKPHW

I loved speaking with House of the Dragon stars Emma D'Arcy and Olivia Cooke about the long-awaited second season, as well as (the next two bits are really important) which of their characters would in a lip-sync battle and how iconic female characters, such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Elle Woods, would fare in Westeros. D'Arcy also discussed the significance of being a non-binary lead in one of TV's most-watched and championed franchises. https://lnkd.in/eeEXUSTr

So happy that GAY TIMES has partnered with Vevo for a second Pride season to spotlight and celebrate LGBTQ+ music artists. As well as the four we launched last year being refreshed for 2024, we have an additional six playlists showcasing queer talent in hip-hop, R&B, and Latin American music, as well as throwback anthems from the 80s and 00s. The playlists will be programmed on Vevo CTV channels globally throughout June, as well as being available on YouTube. Thank you Dot Levine, Elliot Jaillet and the Vevo team for working with us to celebrate the breadth and richness of music LGBTQ+ acts have to offer 🎵

For the first time ever, GAY TIMES' 40-year-strong archive of covers and coverage will be on exhibition to the general public. I had a preview of the exhibition at Outernet London this morning and it's incredible seeing the journey of the LGBTQ+ community from 1984 to the present day unfold over 5 minutes. It's free to go see in London starting tomorrow (6 June) and such a beautiful celebration of GAY TIMES and its legacy so far – featuring more than 540 covers! Huge congratulations to Jack Rowe and Yosef Phelan for pulling the visuals together in such a compelling and dynamic way. And a big shoutout to Josh Fletcher for making it all happen.

You may remember me sharing a few weeks ago, the exciting news that Breakthrough with Coke Studio and GAY TIMES was back - for a second year! Over the past few weeks, we've been revealing our class of 2024 ahead of a busy summer. The initiative provides selected unsigned #LGBTQIA+ talent and allies paid opportunities to perform at major #festivals and #events across the UK and Ireland, take part in a bespoke content shoot led by the #gaytimes creative team, and receive career support under the globally recognised #cokestudio platform. The goal is to help these independent musicians gain visibility and 'breakthrough' into the #music industry, while also promoting #diversity and #inclusivity via a series of #digital and live #experiences. The initiative is no doubt one of the most meaningful and purpose driven pieces of work I've been lucky enough to be part of and I couldn't be more proud of how we've positively changed lives - not only for the selected artists but for those who we inspire along the way. We have a huge amount #realmagic to come, so watch this space. Here's a teaser shot by The House of KOKO, where we launched the initiative at an exclusive event in London. Josh Fletcher Emma Smith Laura Dobbin Tiffany Gumbrell Seb Croft Florence Wheatley Laura Moon Martha Lawless Matt Dowling Elodie Goullin Peribere Aisling Wilde Gavin Gillespie Katie Stamp Stefan Rothenbuehler Paschalis Karatzetzos Eleanor Riddles Louise Maugest Philip Hartmann Drew Fernandez and many many more...

Happy 40th birthday GAY TIMES 🎈 As Europe's longest-running LGBTQ+ media brand, GT has been at the forefront of queer liberation, progress, celebration and advocacy across five decades. From reporting on the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the 80s; protesting Section 28 in the 90s; seeing Section 28 repealed in 00s along with civil partnerships being introduced; celebrating the legalisation of same-sex marriage in the UK, US and other countries in the 10s; through to supporting, advocating and uplifting our trans+ siblings in the 20s, GT has been at the epicenter of the conversation throughout. I'm very proud of the team I've worked with over the years – and particularly the one who brought this incredible 40th anniversary campaign to life, showcasing queer excellence in front and behind the camera. We've got another exciting announcement later this week, which I'm personally very excited about...
