    You're going to be seeing a lot about ERGs on our LinkedIn channel this month. But you may be wondering, what exactly is an ERG❓ 💡 An Employee Resource Group, often referred to as an 'ERG', are voluntary groups within an organisation, which aim to encourage diversity, inclusion and awareness around different areas that are relevant to employees. They are voluntary-led, made up of employees from across different departments, with different backgrounds. They offer a safe space for employees to connect, reflect and come together. Members will often organise training and awareness sessions, employee initiatives and anything else that may meet the needs of employees. Areas that ERGs bring awareness to can include, but are not limited to, ethnicity and nationality, religion, socioeconomic backgrounds, gender, sexuality and common interests. At Genius Within and Genius Finder, we are proud to have a diverse ERG who cultivate a culture of inclusion and diversity amongst our employee base. Genius Finder Pro is a great tool for our ERG, as they can use it to highlight areas of strength and struggle in the workplace, which in turn influences their decision making and planning. But we bet you are wondering, what are are the updates? 💡 The strategies finder has been improved and has been made more accessible. It allows users to access strategies from their report, which makes them easier to find. 💡The flow of information is now sleeker than ever. 💡The Genius Finder has exactly the same function, but a whole new appearance, with improved User Experience across desktop and mobile devices.     The Genius Within and Genius Finder leadership teams have a strong message of our utmost solidarity for our Black, Brown and/or Muslim colleagues, clients and contacts today, of our love and appreciation. You are integral to our community. We also want to note that there is a lesser reported but no less real rise in transphobic hate crime and rhetoric, inflamed by the events at the Olympics. To our friends in the transgender and non-binary community we extend this solidarity to you, too, and hope you stay safe. And, we have an equally strong message to our white and cisgendered colleagues and communities, to stand up and be counted in opposition to racism, islamophobia and transphobia. Allyship is most powerful in our own groups. What we are witnessing is cis, white violence. Every conversation and visible opposition that we hold is important in unpicking this complex web of intergenerational entitlement and aggression. Please reach out to your families and friends, join direct action where you feel able and safe to do so. We are beyond platitudes, but if love is to be the loudest voice, now is the time to speak up. We also want to acknowledge the specific difficulties faced by Black Brown Asian and transgender neurodivergent people who are not able to mask, and their families. Avoiding attention is a survival mechanism right now and for those who tic, who visibly stim and who have noticeable overwhelms the current climate is even more disabling that normal. Those who are vulnerable to ticcing difficult words, from all backgrounds, are also under increased restriction of freedom.
